Gadget Club launches today and offers me an opportunity of a lifetime. A chance to serve the customer in a way never seen before in my work life and in a way that will give me real joy. I know that technology and fun are my true passions in life and they can be combined to deliver real life pleasure. I’m lucky enough to own and run a business doing the things I love most. I can’t wait to show it to you.
Gadget Club is free. It is my way of giving a piece of myself back to the world that has done so much for me. Maybe in a small way I can help others learn and get pleasure from tech items. Maybe I can change lives? I’ll be trying. ‘But free isn’t a business?’ Of course there has to be a plan to monetise my offering, but let me worry about that. Let’s not put the horse before the cart. If you build it, they will come. If you like the information I deliver and you need my help you will book me, I’m sure of it.
Gadget Club is freedom. I’ve led my life so far structured into and conforming to how the world wants us to work and it just isn’t me. How can I be there for my customers if I’m only open nine to five? How can I be there for my family and friends when they may need me when it’s inconvenient? I rise at 4:30 am (which is another story) so I want to be able to work if I choose. My son eats breakfast and reads a book every morning before school and I choose to be there with him, clear and present. I am extremely hard working and creative in the mornings so I want my schedule to reflect this. Customers have to go to work and don’t want to sit in all day – no problem - we’ll work together in the afternoons or evenings if this suits you. I love to exercise everyday, but train when it is optimal for me; now I can and I will.
Gadget Club is being present in my life, present in my customer’s lives, bringing joy, fun, playfulness and curiosity to every moment. Life is too short and I now choose to live mine to the fullest giving my all to helping others.
My audience and customer is anyone that chooses to be. I truly hope everyone loves what they see, hear and feel about my content and how it can enrich their lives. I truly hope my customer service is so good that people will give my business a go. The truth is not everyone will get it, choose to use it or come on this journey with me. I’m okay with that – and please tell me what I need to do better, tell me what you would like to see, hear and feel. I am an open book and I choose to learn.
So here is the deal. Find me on my website, www.gadgetclub.co.uk, Facebook page, Twitter or Instagram. On there you will find loads of new stuff daily that I hope will really spice up and mix up your gadget use and help you get to know me.
If you like what you see send me a message, join my facebook page, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org, or just subscribe through the buttons on the website. Then you can ask me anything at all about Gadgets, problems, recommendations, apps, almost anything. As a community we will get to grips with Gadgets. The Facebook page will always be open for business and my goal is to answer every single question, query or discussion, no stone left unturned. I don’t know everything, but I do know how to find out.
To start the ball rolling Monday to Thursday in the afternoons and evenings the Gadget Club Roadshow will be in motion. I’ll let you know when I’ll be in your local area and you are more than welcome to visit me, wherever I may be, with your Gadgets or invite me round for a cup of tea and a Gadget chat.
